New Encana CNG Station Opens in Parachute (w/ ANGI Equipment)

PARACHUTE, Colo.- For years, the Town of Parachute has served as a hub for extraction of natural gases and Encana officials are excited to open their new compressed natural gas station among these rich fields.

"Its in abundance, love cost, and very environmentally beneficial for trucks," said Matthew Most, vice president of EnCana.

As part of an effort to bring more natural gas to transportation fleets, officials started up this four pump facility.

"It's one of the fastest growing alternative energy fuels," said Most. "We are seeing CNG stations grow year after year, about 25 percent."

Most says nation-wide, there are nearly 1,200 CNG stations but half of them aren't open to the public. However, that's not the case here.
