Dubuque's Kwik Stop installs CNG station in Iowa

Dubuque opened its first compressed natural gas station Friday morning. It's a type of gas that burns cleaner than regulas gas and cost more than one dollar less per gallon.

It's now available at the Kwik Stop convenience store at 1215 East 16th Street in Dubuque. According to the Consumer Energy Center, natural gas vehicles are 80 percent less likely to break down the ozone layer. But you have to install a converter in order to make that gas compatible in most cars.

Kwik Stop's Jill Reimer said, "Today it's $1.10 less per gallon. Same gas milage, improved maintenance. We really believe it's the fuel option of the future."
